Red wine is characterized for being a good companion during meals, for livening up meetings, events... just as the oil stands out for its great use in the kitchen and for adding it to food. But they are not only considered valuable for this. Have you ever wondered about their properties?
Polyphenols are substances that are present in plants with great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Following a study by the Central University of Venezuela, polyphenols are compounds from the secondary metabolism of plants and are found naturally in foods and beverages of plant origin. There are numerous studies about polyphenols that prove their powerful benefits, such as the article published in Scielo and prepared by the Pharmacology Department of the Complutense University of Madrid, where it is confirmed that a diet rich in plant polyphenols can improve health and contributes to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular diseases, due to the antioxidant properties they have. According to the newspaper 20 minutes, red wine should be consumed in moderation and is a drink rich in polyphenols due to the large amount of phenols it contains, such as resveratrol, flavonols, flavanols, procyanidins and anthocyanins.
Our wines have a high concentration of polyphenols, almost double what a normal wine has. One of our jewels is the 1758 Selección Polyphenols 100, characterized by its very high content of polyphenols, so that its properties make it an excellent option, in addition to the pleasures that this particular drink brings, in a unique container that reminds us of pharmacy bottles, a unique design.
Regarding oils, polyphenols appear in the fruit and leaves of olive trees, so they will later be present in the oil. Among them, the one that stands out the most is Extra Virgin Olive Oil because it is the one with the most polyphenols. Our oils are VOLCANIC and ECOLOGICAL Extra Virgin Olive Oils, the 1758 Coupage 5 Varieties standing out for its uniqueness, the result is an intense, aromatic, fruity and balanced EVOO with a mild and spicy aftertaste where polyphenols are present in quantities exceptional.
Another oil whose identity is marked by being rich in polyphenols is 1758 Polyphenols Selection, a Coupage of the best olives, selected for their high content of polyphenols (Oleocanthal, Tiroxol and Hidrotiroxol). Its qualities make it a great accompaniment thanks to its great flavor, fruity and intense.
